An aggregated list of notable details surrounding KB and our interactions with her

• - Is the only reject who actively seeks out human interaction.

• - Her mask was found within Somewhere Out There and is not native to her creation within the void.

• - When asked if she knows why her void matter includes bright colors, she replied that she doesn't know, but she's glad because it "makes her feel important, even if it hasn’t done much to help her". (Apparently, this attribute is yet another reason why the other rejects have pushed her away.)

• - Adopted the human form that she has simply because "she likes it". Said that from what little she can remember, she used both her innate and human appearance while living in the void. This, along with some of our catalogued entities, would assume that the Void already knew about humans to create life in our image.

• - Can’t give us much of a physical description of the void due to memory loss. Says she can remember it being “unfathomably dark” (no surprise there), but her and other lifeforms could see through it in a different way than what we can perceive. Mentioned there being small sources of light and structures, but can’t recall further beyond that.

• Apparently communicated through "silent-speak" with other living beings in the void, or as I would assume: telepathic communication. Since entering the Outvoid however, she seems to be unable to use or hear others with this method, including other rejects.

• - Has built up a tolerance to our world/atmosphere over a period of years that span even before OEA's official founding. Her first excursion lasted for only a minute before she had to turn back, citing that she felt like “(her) insides were burning and (she) was about to explode".

  • She can now last for about 26 hours without ill-effect before needing to return to SOT. She's spent most of her time here observing humanity, but is still too timid to interact with people on a personal level (which is quite lucky for us; I don't know how we'd spin it if she was sighted before we were ready for disclosure.)

• - If KB stays in one place for too long, the void radiation she exudes will imprint on the environment in a small radius (this has become more of a hazard now that she can stay out longer). It takes about 3 hours of constant, localized build-up before it won’t dissipate on its own. It can be cleaned through a modified version of our extract process, rendering the radiation inert, but if left unattended, it will begin to spread from its origin point and "corrupt” in an outwards radial projection.

  • (A small burst of energy also emits when KB (and theoretically any entity) crosses through a tear into our world, which allows us to track her movements and clean up any left-behind contamination).

  • Her radiation strength is much lower than what raw matter gives off, theoretically allowing for brief interactions with unsuited humans that wouldn’t inflict lasting harm (emphasis on “theoretically”; we probably won’t be able to test this until disclosure).

• - Seems to have mastery over navigating Somewhere Out There (most likely able to teleport). Though we haven’t figured out where our tears are in relation to each other in Somewhere, she's been seen at every facility tear nonetheless (frustratingly, she refuses to help us map out their relative locations).

  • Has stated that Somewhere is "unfathomably large and incomprehensible to (our) understanding of location and space," which pushes us more towards the infinite theory. The tears we've locked down could be hundreds, thousands, maybe millions of miles apart, even though their locations in our world are merely scattered across the country.

    • Apparently, there’s three types of tears: small ones that open and close in seconds to minutes at most, medium ones that can be traversed through but only exist for a few hours, and large tears that are stationary and permanent. There’s dozens of these large tears all across the world, but our instruments have only picked up readings from the five in the United States that we’ve since locked down, and faint, brief blips from other parts of North America. (Worryingly, we’ve yet to track down what’s causing them, and KB swears they aren’t from her.)

• - KB is prone to outbursts/meltdowns. These reactions can be a result of her working herself up over an errant thought or triggered by a wrong turn in a conversation with us. Notably, she does not like it when we bring up the Void if she has not brought it up first.

  • These meltdowns involve dropping her human-like facade and reverting into a primal form (her body quite literally begins to unravel before turning into a vague, writhing mass), emitting a cacophonous barrage of noises that physically damage her surroundings, and then fleeing for a time.

    • When next seen (could be hours, days, or in some cases weeks), she will be back to her normal, chipper self, and either not recall or refuse to talk about her previous outburst.

    • It’s also from these episodes that we’ve seen she can add and subtract her void matter at will. Ex: she can go from a ~5’9” humanoid shape, to a massive, spiraling, sputtering tornado, then back down again without a problem. It’s also how we’ve been able to collect her specific type of matter without harming her. We theorize she’s drawing it from her surroundings into herself to add mass, and then shedding it off when she returns to normal. It’s the only logical explanation next to “she can somehow infinitely create matter”, which theoretically only creator entities can do.

• - In between normal periods of behavior, she exhibits both manic highs and depressive lows that can seesaw between days, and has exhibited panic and stress responses to certain conversational stimuli.

• - During downward mood breaks (not quite outbursts, but slightly-dissociated states), KB will exhibit a "two-tone" voice, or sound like several of her are speaking at once. This is different from SVPs, as her multiple voices can be heard by anyone present, and SVPs are only heard later in captured audio.

• - Hums a specific melody in what we assume is an attempt to self-soothe. (Remember to direct to an audio recording here when we have one.)

• - This is an unprofessional interjection, but she could probably benefit from proper therapy of some sort. We've tried to bring in one of our facility psychologists to talk to her, but she seems wholly resistant to an "official" process, much preferring to talk to us casually on her own terms. Then again, we're trying to apply human mental evaluation to something incredibly far from human, so who knows how effective traditional methods would be.

• - Despite her apparent mental instability and innate monstrous form, I fully believe KB is kind and caring in nature and poses no threat to us. She's never tried to actively harm us and seemingly only wants companionship and acceptance, though she has a hard time showing it or navigating complex social situations.

  • I also very well hope I am never proven wrong in the above statement. I do have fears that, for as stubborn as she can be, she’s still susceptible to people-pleasing and manipulation, which could prove disastrous if she falls under the wrong influence.

• Also, worryingly, she has mentioned wanting to bring more of "us" (people in general) into SOT if she fails to integrate into our society -- to make her own community in a place more familiar to her. We've tried explaining that our bodies aren't able to withstand the nature of Somewhere, but she insists we can adapt like she did to our world. She's implied that several of us already have, and while she refuses to clarify, I suspect she is referring to the "void beasts", or employees who’ve transformed instead of dissolving after radiation exposure.

  • If that's successfully adapting, then I hope I'm incompatible.

It's of my opinion that, while we can’t lock KB down like our other specimens (our stasis rings don't work on her anyways; finding that out lead to quite an awkward conversation), we still need to find an acceptable way to keep her from going through the tears without our permission. But, given that traversable ones can open and close on a whim, and that she's seemingly able to pinpoint them through instinct, it seems like a fool's errand.

Caging her feels cruel and would only feed into her issues with trust and ostracization, which could make her lash out violently, but her very existence is an innate danger that could pose a serious threat to mankind if improperly exposed.

It's a tricky situation, morally. At the moment, all we can do is try to persuade her to play by our rules; keep her placated and agreeable by working with her to a reasonable extent.

(And lastly, something else about her and her connection to the Void/Somewhere bothers me, but I need to think on it for a bit before I officially record it. Might talk to Jan about it later to work it out.)
